That's not all they share: There's also a common powerplant: in this case we're talking about a gas-burning Hurricane SIXPACK H.O. engine. This engine displaces 3.0-liter and breathes with the help of twin turbochargers. It's a brute, delivering 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. It's the most powerful version in Hurricane production. Timing is everything. We're looking at 12.2 seconds and 114 mph for the quarter mile, and 3.9 seconds to hit 60 mph. Top speed is 177 mph. Boost is provided to the straight six engine by two Garrett GT2054 Turbochargers. Its power is sent through an 8-speed automatic transmission to the standard all-wheel drive system. Having rear-wheel drive on demand is great when you want to do burnouts or donuts! Part of that ability comes from the drive mode selector. The vehicle has five drive modes, each tailored to the conditions and your driving style. Take your pick from Auto, Eco, Wet/Snow, Sport, and Custom. Sport mode intrigues us the most with its torque split, aggressive shift patterns, more steering feedback and a unique sound signature from the SIXPACK engine. The Dodge Charger Scat Pack has a performance-tuned exhaust with electronic valves and unique tuning for each drive mode. Noise cancellation is here to reduce unwanted cabin sounds while letting in those wild external exhaust notes. The sound is intoxicating!
