RAM ProMaster New Looks & New Features
Starting with the updated looks, the RAM ProMaster Van now features a new exterior appearance that features a redesign of the front fascia that now integrates the RAM grille theme seen on other RAM vehicles. And the "new" goes deeper than just looks. There's the RAM Telematics suite, powered by Verizon Connect. Through this system, owners are able to track the vehicle and driver behavior data, which in turn allows you to save money on fuel, promote safe driving and route efficiency. An added benefit is the inclusion of vehicle diagnostics and performance data.
RAM ProMaster Trim Options
This year, the RAM ProMaster Van is available in three additional styles for more possibilities, including a ProMaster 2500 Cargo Van 136-inch Low Roof, a ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van 136-inch Low Roof and a ProMaster 3500 Cargo Van 136-inch High Roof.
The RAM ProMaster has also seen an increase in payload, by as much as 240 lbs., as seen below:
- RAM ProMaster 1500 - 4,000 pounds
- RAM ProMaster 2500 - 4,230 pounds
- RAM ProMaster 3500 - 4,680 pounds
There has been so much improvement in the new RAM ProMaster vans to the point that there is a 30 percent increase in towing capacity, up to a peak of 6,800 pounds. And since there is an increase in capacity, there's also a new Trailer-Tow Group package. Adding a Class IV receiver hitch with four-and seven-pin wiring, it is designed to make trailering a breeze.
EFFICIENT AND FOCUSED
The ProMaster Van features Upfitter-friendly technology with a Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) with 13 inputs and 41 outputs. Allowing for quick and reliable connections, regardless of how you upfit your van, it can help minimize updating costs as well.Â
RAM ProMaster Power
The RAM ProMaster Van is powered by the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V6-cylinder engine, offering 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, through a six-speed automatic transmission. Laid out in a front-wheel-drive configured powertrain, it places all components below the cab and is designed for optimal traction, especially in inclement weather. Behind the driver is a low-loading flat floor that makes loading and unloading a breeze.
Speaking of loading and unloading, there's lots that fits inside. That includes a cargo capacity of 259- all the way up to 463 cubic feet of space behind the front row of seats. With a width between wheel housings of 56 inches, it is possible to load a stack of 4 x 8 sheets of plywood or any other large bulk items. The rules are there are no rules!
